TRAINING
The key to a successful Race Across America is a solid training plan. While there is no one single blueprint that can be followed, it is recommended that you included one or more of the many RAAM-Qualifying races in your training plan. Not only will these give you training miles under real race conditions, but it also provides your support crew the opportunity to practice their many tasks.

In addition, we are making available various routes that were used on RAAM Challenge races in the United States. These training routes provide a variety to terrains similar to what you will experience on RAW. See the full list below.

Hiring a coach may also be beneficial. There are many coaches who have extensive experience in preparing racers for RAAM and RAW, including those who have successfully finished the race multiple times. Some of these have been included in the list below.
